Turning Curiosity Into Career Opportunities – Sebastian’s Journey

Figuring out the right career path isn’t always easy - but getting real life experience is often the key to finding the right direction. That’s exactly what Sebastian set out to do when he joined Unibake as an intern.
Growing with Unibake
In January 2025, Sebastian Uddin joined Unibake’s head quarter in Copenhagen as an intern while pursuing his Master’s degree in Economics and Finance at Linköping University, Sweden.
His goal? To gain hands-on experience in an international business environment.
During his internship, Sebastian focused on a specific project related to financial risk management, working closely with Unibake’s Procurement team to analyze supplier risks.
However, when his internship ended, he wasn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
After completing his internship, Sebastian transitioned into a student worker role - continuing his journey while pursuing his studies. And his responsibilities shifted too.
“The tasks are much more diverse now,” Sebastian shares. “Every day brings something new, and I’m constantly learning. The best part is the strong support I get from my colleagues - they’re always ready to help.”
Learning through openness and teamwork
During his time at Unibake, Sebastian quickly noticed the informal and approachable way people work together- something that helped him settle in and learn faster.

I was surprised by how easy it is to approach people here. People here are very experienced, and they will gladly share this experience with you as long as you're curious.
This has also shaped how Sebastian works today.
When asked about the most valuable skills he’s gained at Unibake, Sebastian points to clear communication - something that felt quite different from the academic style he is used to at university.
Reflecting on his time at Unibake so far, he highlights the value of a positive work environment. Being part of a team that’s open and supportive has made it easier to stay motivated and focused.
Sebastian’s journey is one example of how Unibake creates opportunities for people to grow, take on new challenges, and make a real impact in the business.
