A hearty hot dog loaded with sautéed mushrooms, crisp lettuce, sweet onions and a cool layer of sour cream — finished with crunchy fried onions for the perfect mix of textures in every bite.
Ingredients
- Brioche Hot Dog
- 200 g mushrooms
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 onion
- Fried onion
- 4 butter lettuce leaves
- 4 tablespoons of thick sour cream
- A glass of dry white wine
- Oil
- 30 g butter
Preparation Instructions
Sauté the mushrooms
Heat a little oil in a frying pan, add the cleaned mushrooms cut into quarters, and cook over medium-high heat, stirring regularly, until golden and fragrant.
Build flavour
Stir in the finely chopped onion and garlic. Cook for about a minute until softened, then pour in the wine.
Reduce
Lower the heat and let the wine reduce almost completely, concentrating the flavour.
Finish the mix
Add a knob of butter and season generously with salt and pepper.
Prepare the bun
Spread the inside of the bun with a layer of sour cream, then top with fresh lettuce leaves.
Assemble
Spoon the warm, savoury mushrooms onto the lettuce, sprinkle with crispy fried onions, and finish with an extra teaspoon or two of sour cream on top.
Serve immediately while the mushrooms are hot and at their most delicious.
